Today, U.S. Representative Ross Spano (R-FL) was presented with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce "Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award', in recognition of his support for pro-growth, pro-business policies during the 116th Congress.

"I am proud to accept this recognition on behalf of businesses in Florida's 15th district and across the country that are the drivers of our economy. As a former small business owner, I have devoted my service in Congress to help these businesses thrive. I recognize the special challenges they have faced this year, but I have also seen firsthand their determination to come out stronger than ever before," said Spano. "The Great American Comeback is around the corner, and I have no doubt the best is yet to come!"

The new Abraham Lincoln Leadership for America Award recognizes Members of Congress who demonstrate the leadership to advance polices that support American business. Spano's advocacy earned him a 99% score with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

"Now more than ever, our nation needs elected leaders like Ross Spano, who has the courage to pursue bold and effective solutions to America's greatest challenges," said U.S. Chamber President Suzanne Clark. "These awards honor the deserving members of Congress that are forging common-sense sense solutions to enact lasting and meaningful reforms. In the days ahead, Congress must work to support our nation's free enterprise principles that will help bring our economy back to strength and put our people back to work. We thank Ross for his work."

Since arriving in Washington, Rep. Spano has been working diligently on behalf of his district's small business community and most recently unveiled his "Great American Comeback' economic recovery plan to counter the economic impact left by COVID-19 nationwide. As a previous small business owner, and the sole Florida representative serving on the House Small Business Committee, his knowledge and grasp of policy impact has already helped countless of businesses stay afloat through the pandemic.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is the world's largest business federation representing the interests of more than 3 million businesses of all sizes, sectors, and regions. The Chamber advocates for pro-business policies that create jobs and grow the U.S. economy.
